We are taking over the two-year chairmanship and secretariat of the IGD-TP
From 2025, we assume a two-year chairmanship and secretariat of the Implementing Geological Disposal of radioactive waste Technology Platform (IGD-TP).
Our colleague Markéta Dohnálková will become its chairwoman. In this role, she will lead international cooperation and strategic initiatives focused on the safe geological disposal of radioactive waste, coordinate the activities of platform members, and represent its results on a global level.
The head of the secretariat will be our colleague Lucie Hausmannová. Her task will be to coordinate the platform’s activities, support the preparation and publication of documents, and ensure effective communication among its members.
Our chairmanship comes with significant responsibility – to strengthen international cooperation and share experiences in the development of deep geological repositories. We are very much looking forward to intensive cooperation with colleagues from all over Europe on the key challenges ahead of us, and we believe that thanks to the expertise and dedication of all IGD-TP members, we can achieve significant progress.
