Lukáš Vondrovic became the director of SÚRAO

RNDr. Lukáš Vondrovic Ph.D. has been named as the new Managing Director of SÚRAO.

Lukáš Vondrovic studied for his doctoral degree in geology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Charles University in Prague. He began his scientific career at the Czech Geological Survey in the field of geological mapping and applied research. He has worked at the Czech Radioactive Waste Repository Authority (SÚRAO) since 2014, first as a researcher, then as head of the geological research department and, since 2018, he has been the manager of the deep geological repository development project section. He is involved in many international projects that are concerned with deep geological repository issues, as well as in a number of professional platforms, e.g. the OECD/NEA, and is a member of the steering group of the technology platform for states with advanced deep geological disposal development programmes.
